While we will always offer on-site service in our local service area, we now have the ability to support clients more effectively outside our service area. Remote Support allows us to be more responsive and to provide better customer service. It's also a more efficient use of our resources as we don't have to deal with travel, parking or use our cell phones! For you, there are no technicians coming to your home, no appointments to keep. We offer this at a lower price than our in-home services. But what about security? There is nothing to install, simply download the Remote Client on the right and your computer will make a connection to the Remote Support tech. And because YOU have to initiate the connection there's no security risk of unauthorized access back into your system. Plus, when the application is disconnected it removes itself completely from your system. But can you do as much remotely as you can on-site? When it comes to basic computer problems and general system tune-ups YES we can do just as much remotely as we can on-site. As for other issues such as badly infected spyware or viruses, we may not always be able to solve the problem remotely, but we might be able to talk you through the solution or at least diagnose the situation before we have to go on-site. For spyware removal, we do a very throrough job. Most technicians just run a few free tools and call it clean, we take a much more detailed and methodical approach because viruses and spyware are very serious security problems, we do not feel comfortable removing them remotely when they are in need of a real good cleaning. To be effective, spyware and viruses must be run in a pre-boot or Safe-Mode environment which is not available in a remote session. What is the process? It is simple. Click the icon on the right. It launches a .exe file. Select Run or install when prompted. This launches the support tool. It is not an installer. Nothing will be installed on your system and the tool is removed from your computer when the session is over. Nothing is installed. Once you launch the support tool, double click on the technicians name that you wish to get support from.
