Tech Teaching Series benefits local PTA's

Eastvale Computer Services is hosting a series of Tech Teaching presentations at local schools. The presentations benefit the local PTA’s of the host schools. We offer 2 hour Seminars & Workshops on a variety of topics such as Safety & Security online, Family Computing and others.

The cost is $25 per person. The presentations are 2 hours.  All fees go to the PTA’s of the host schools. There is a required minimum of 10 attendees per presentation. Even with the minimum attendance of 10 people, the PTA gets over $200. We think this is a very effective way to raise money for our PTA’s with minimum effort or organization on their part. Attendees will get fantastic computer tips and computer advice in a low tech, easy to understand presentation, no matter which course they attend.

Handouts are given to attendees which contain more resources, websites and basic instruction on the topics covered. Here are some Frequent Questions on the courses.

How much can my PTA raise?
The minimum attendance is 10 and the max is 50. At $25.00 per attendee, PTA's can raise about $200-$1,000 per seminar.

Do I need a computer?
No, because topics are of a general nature and not really designed to be a “How-To”. Topics are explained in a general, easy to understand manner. The handouts are given as reference and you may want to take notes. The instructor will have a large 84" screen projector and a laptop to show examples and basic visual guides.

Are kids welcome?
No, not really.  For the topics that cover Parental Control methods, it is not advised that kids be there, especially if they are the kids you may be using the parental controls on.

How long are the courses?
2 hours are the time frame depending on the attendance; it may be a bit longer.

What are the course topics?
The topics may change since they are packaged on many different topics to fit a 2 hour presentation. If you would like to check the event page, the topics are listed there as well with a detailed explanation of the topic.
